Image Focus
Image FOCUS is a quality management and audit system for z/OS
servers that emulates the IPL process and in doing so checks syntax,
substitute variables, and verifies availability of resources – far
beyond basic change management of text strings.
It is used for IPL integrity,
change management and audit, ensuring standardization of all z/OS
configuration components.
Image FOCUS ensures you maintain
error-free production and alternate images and determines the impact
of any change on an image plus that change in the sysplex and with
other alternate images sharing common resources.
You can automate special
projects like moving to a new release of the z/OS operating system,
or consolidation and standardization efforts of your sysplex, but in
particular you can automatically maintain an audit of the system
datasets and variables in the IPL process.
